Swanlea School staff came together to support a fantastic cause as we hosted a Macmillan Cancer Support Bake Sale in the school library.
Staff members generously baked and brought in a wonderful selection of homemade treats, giving colleagues the opportunity to enjoy some delicious bakes while supporting an important cause. Thanks to everyone who baked, donated and supported the event, we are delighted to have raised over £500 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The money raised will help Macmillan continue providing vital support to people living with cancer and their families, including emotional, practical and financial support during what can be an incredibly difficult time.
A special thank you goes to Ms Wells for helping organise and prepare the bake sale for staff, as well as to everyone who contributed their time, baking and generosity.
The day also gave us the opportunity to welcome back two familiar faces to Swanlea. We were delighted to see our former Executive Headteacher, Ms Landers, and former Deputy Headteacher, Ms Dhudia, return to visit the school. It was lovely to see them both again, catch up and hear how they are doing.
The bake sale was a fantastic example of the Swanlea community coming together to support an important cause, while also providing a lovely opportunity for staff to come together and reconnect with old friends.
