On Wednesday 3rd July, Swanlea School held their annual Awards Evening. This is an evening where we celebrate the achievements of our students.
Students who were recognised for their achievements at Swanlea were selected by their LCOs, subject teachers and form tutors and were invited with their parents/carers to attend the awards evening. They were then given certificates in recognition of their individual achievements.
Our guest of honours this year were Swanlea alumni Tarekur Rahman and Sonia Khan who gave some really inspirational speeches about their time at Swanlea and told our students that they should enjoy their time and take full advantage of all the opportunities at Swanlea.
Tarekur said, “I would like to thank Swanlea for providing me with the foundations of my future. This is where it all started: with the help of amazing teachers.”
Sonia also thanked her teachers and said, “During my time at Swanlea I received an incredible amount of support from my teachers – they went out of their way to give us advice on getting the best grades
Congratulations to all of our students who have won an award this year and thank you to our staff, governors and parents/carers for your continued support in helping our students achieve.
