Mayor of Tower Hamlets Luthfur Rahman Visits Swanlea School

Mayor of Tower Hamlets Luthfur Rahman paid a visit to Swanlea School to witness firsthand the positive impact of his new initiative to support families. He has pledged that every student in Tower Hamlets, regardless of their financial background, is entitled to a free lunch. Mayor Rahman’s visit to Swanlea School not only highlighted the health benefits of his decision, but also on the broader effects for children’s educational and emotional wellbeing.

Headteacher of Swanlea School, Brenda Landers, supported the decision,

‘We are proud to be a flagship school in the roll out of this initiative.  Students at Swanlea, along with their parents and carers, will benefit educationally from the positive effects of a healthy, nutritious lunch in our fantastic school canteen.’
