Year 12 Students Develop Their Public Speaking Skills with Talk the Talk

Our Year 12 Sixth Form students recently took part in a Talk the Talk workshop, focusing on developing their confidence, communication and public speaking skills as they progress through the next stage of their education.

The workshop highlighted the importance of speaking confidently, expressing ideas clearly and communicating effectively in front of an audience. Students took part in activities designed to help them become more comfortable speaking in public, delivering speeches and sharing their thoughts and opinions with others.

As students take on greater responsibilities in Sixth Form and prepare for their future pathways, developing these skills is an important part of their personal and academic growth. Being able to communicate confidently can support them in interviews, presentations, university applications and future careers.

The session provided a valuable opportunity for our students to step outside their comfort zones, build their self-belief and develop skills that will benefit them both inside and outside the classroom.

At Swanlea School, we are committed to helping our students develop the confidence, resilience and communication skills they need to succeed.
