Last month the Swanlea Choir competed in the Stratford and East London Music Festival in South Woodford. Their chosen pieces were “O Waly Waly,” a traditional folk song from Scotland and “One Short Day” from Wicked. They gave a confident and beautiful performance and scooped 2nd place!
The choir are now looking forward to participating in the North London Festival in May with new songs and maybe some sneaky choreography thrown in!
The choir rehearses every Monday after school in the music department. Everyone is welcome- there are no auditions. If you fancy joining us- come along!
