Aspire Week 2024
Swanlea School Aspire Week is taking place Monday 26th February to Monday 4th March 2024.
During this week, all students will be learning about careers linked to the subjects they study, as well as raising their aspirations and broadening their horizons regarding the vast range of jobs and careers available to them once they finish study.
There will be a range of activities led by volunteers from various businesses including: Year 7 – Money Matters, Year 8 – Options and Careers, Year 9 – Skills for Success, Careers Fair, trips to businesses, workshops on completing applications, CV writing and listening to guest speakers form a variety of organisations such as the Youth Construction Trust and Diverse Futures.
We are also pleased to have recently had Sakhila Mirza (Executive Board Director and General Counsel, London Bullion Market Association) and Robert Crampton (journalist and feature writer for The Times & Sunday Times) speak to KS5 students about their education and career journeys.
We would also welcome parents to attend the careers fair with your child on Thursday 29th February 3.15pm – 3.50pm, we look forward to seeing you there.
